Meet the Leader

Bishop Renford Brown, along with his wife Cynthia, is the pastor of the Bristol Church and Overseer of the Bristol District of churches (Bristol, Chippenham, Bath and Trowbridge).

         

Bishop Brown is a spirit led preacher and teacher of the word since 1975, focused on disciplining believers to experience and maintain a Jesus centred lifestyle.

An ordained minister of New Testament Church of God serving in several offices, a qualified counsellor and holds a diploma in Theology and Cert.Ed.

Bishop Brown fulfils several local community-based offices, which includes Ecumenical Prebendary of Bristol Cathedral, Chairman of the Black Council of Churches and a former Chaplain to the Police. ​

​He has a heart for mission, traveling to several countries, however, it’s the mission work he supports in the Dominican Republic which began in 2007 with four people under the leadership of Franklin and Anna Reyes  which had grown in attendance over the years that he is especially proud of .

Bishop Brown is married to Cynthia, with two children Hannah and Paul and three grandchildren.

Alongside his pastoral role, he’s an avid reader and loves watching sports. (A lifetime fan of the West Indies cricket and Tottenham football teams.)

A keen gardener who loves traveling and spending time with his family and maintain a Jesus centred lifestyle.
